HESSON - John S., 78, of Bogota, NJ, formerly of Jersey City, NJ, on Friday, April 27, 2012. Loving son of the late George Hesson and Mary (nee Maurice) Hesson. Caring uncle of Michael Hesson of St. Augustine, FL. Mr. Hesson was a Teacher at the Ridgefield Memorial High School in Ridgefield, NJ, for 37 years. He taught French, Humanities, and Advanced Placement English. He was an adjunct professor at St. Peter's University teaching French and at William Paterson University teaching English literature. He served in the United States Army as an aide to General Breckinridge achieving the rank of First Lieutenant. Funeral from McCorry Brothers, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Friday, May 4, 2012, at 10:15 AM. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Madonna Church (near the Cemetery just off of Jones Road), 2070 Hoefleys Lane, Fort Lee, NJ, at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee, NJ. Visiting hours on Thursday, May 3, 2012, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in John's memory may be made to: Doctors Without Borders, PO Box 5030, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5030.
