Obituary of Vladimir Biberica

Vladimir "Val" Biberica of Cliffside Park, New Jersey entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, December 4, 2013. He was born in Zlarin, Croatia on February 18, 1936 to Tomica (nee Strelov) and Anthony Biberica. He immigrated to the United States in 1953 and was a cabinetmaker with the New York District Council of Carpenters working in New Jersey and New York for many years before retiring in 2002. He and his wife, Helen, recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Val's most enjoyable moments were spent with his family, especially his granddaughters. He enjoyed sports and gardening. Those who truly knew Val took something away from the privilege of knowing him. Val was a great husband, amazing father and very loving grandfather. Val is survived by his loving wife, Helen Biberica (nee Podwojski), his brother Anthony Biberica, Jr. and wife Kristi of East Patchogue, NY. His son, Vladimir Biberica, Jr. and his wife Felicia of Tenafly, NJ, and daughter Joyce Biberica and her companion, Tommy Bourque of Waynesville, NC and his cherished granddaughters, Ava Biberica and Laila Biberica both of Tenafly, NJ. Also survived by Gertrude Podwojski and Joyce and Kenneth Keller of Glendale, NY, Joseph and Elaine Podwojski of Titusville, FL and Thomas and Janet Podwojski of Schwenksville, PA along with numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Val will also be missed by his furry grand-doggies, Hershey and Bubbles and furry feline nephews, Sam and Max. Funeral from McCorry Brothers Funeral Home 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at 11 AM. Committal service to follow at Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview, NJ. Visiting hours on Friday, from 7-9 PM & Saturday from 10-11 AM.
