Obituary of Julius Joseph Vastano

VASTANO, Julius J., 76, of Cliffside Park, died Sunday in Englewood Hospital. He lived in Ridgefield before moving to Cliffside Park in the 1960's. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the music corp. He earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in English and was the proprietor of Vastano Piano Studio for over 40 years. Julius was a gifted classical pianist having made numerous recordings and had trained many piano students. Surviving are his brother, Joseph and niece, Dawn, her fianc, Chris, residing in Lanoka Harbor, N.J. and his nephew, Bret, his wife, Elizabeth of Wayne, NJ in addition to 6 great nieces and nephews, other cousins and 3 surviving aunts and uncle. A Catholic Blessing will be held at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Friday, January, 17, 2014 at 12 PM. Visiting hours on Friday, from 10 AM - 12 PM. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, NJ.
