GUGEL, Rose Ann Casey, formerly of Cliffside Park, passed away on January 24, 2014 at age 97. As of April 2012 she became a resident of Andrus on Hudson, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Mrs. Gugel was born in Gutttenberg, NJ, of parents Patrick and Mary Jane Connoly Casey. Predeceased by her husband, Conrad Gugel, in July 1964, she took a position with Manufacturers Hanover Trust in New York City. After retiring, Rose Ann served as a volunteer in the Pharmacy Department of Palisades General Hospital (currently Palisades Medical Center) for 20 years. In 1991 she was awarded the coveted Volunteer of the Year award. Mrs. Gugel was a parishioner of the Epiphany R.C. Church, and an active member of its Senior Citizens Organization. She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Gugel Gould, and son-in-law, Frank Gould, of Scarsdale, NY. Grandchildren are Catherine and Glenn Barton of Forest Hills, NY, Dr. Mark Gould of Orange Park, FL, Jocelyn Gould of Framingham, MA, and Gregory and Melinda Gould of Stratford, CT. Great-grandchildren are Casey Barton, Luke and August and Jade Gould. Six nieces, nephews, and their families also survive her. In lieu of flowers, Rose Ann's wishes were that donations be made to Father Flannigan's Boys Town, PO Box 6000, Boys Town, NE 68010. Funeral from McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Church Of The Epiphany, 247 Knox Avenue Cliffside Park,NJ, at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
