my condolences to the munier family..
from what I can remember of paul- since I was alittle boy, we lived
in Weehawken nj. up the hill from the fire house. I remember a next
door neighbor, paul-would come in for visits with my parents.
I remember a man with a white tee shirt, lifting me up - I guess
to make me laugh.. as years went on, I had asked my mother
who our neighbor was & what was his name? her reply was-you
remember this when you was 6 or 7 Frankie? yes I do I said.
she said his name was paul. he was our next door neighbor.& yes
Frankie, he would pick you up.. afew years ago, we went to his new
home for a visit.. paul knew my mother right away.. paul than said to me
Frankie, the last time I seen you,you was this high.. now look at you.
I cant even pick you up anymore.. again, I seen his white tee shirt.
im happy to have visit my old neighbor again, one last time..
so paul, my former neighbor,
may you now r.i.p !!!!
we ask this, through Christ our lord,
amen !!!!
ps.
to pat his wife & children,
my mom would like to keep contact with you.
although I do not remember pat & children,im sorry,
but I did know paul..
please, I ask you call me or my wife carol-
at 973-955-2481..
my mothers name is Marilyn & my fathers name
was frank steffens.. & im Frankie steffens.
we were your next door neighbors..
im very sorry for your loss,
but hoping a comfort call may help..
very sincerely,
carol & Frankie steffens..

Paulie was the "King of Port Newark" and treated me well whenever I worked there. He was of the old school and honored his uniform every day. Paulie knew every food truck at the command and the wise cop sought his advice before considering an 8-36. Condolences to his family.
