PLANCHER - Gerald "Jerry", 84, of Ridgefield, NJ, on Friday, June 27, 2014. Proud WWII Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He was employed by Bergen County as a Veterans Outreach Officer who tirelessly worked to help many Military families receive the Honors they truly deserved. Jerry was a Service Officer for the American Legion Post #221 in Ridgefield, NJ. He is survived by his loving wife Victoria "Vicki" (nee Zichello) Plancher. Beloved father of Stephen Plancher, his wife Laurie. Caring Step-father of Charles Sanfilippo, Jr., his wife Laurie. Cherished grandfather of Stephenie Plancher. American Legion Post #221 will hold services at 7PM. Visiting hours on Monday, from 5-8PM at McCorry Brothers, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ. Future service is private.
