THEIS - John "Jack" Thomas, 81, of Cliffside Park, NJ, on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Husband of 55 years to Mary Lou (nee Coppoletta) Theis. Loving father of William J. Theis, his wife Deborah. Cherished grandson of Sean William Theis. Dear brother of Cecelia Rufo of Naples, FL, and the late Valerie Rafferty. Several nieces and nephews also survive. John was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired Lt. of the Cliffside Park Police Department who retired in 1993, Lifetime Member of the Honor Legion Police Department, of New Jersey, and a member of P.B.A. Local #96 of Cliffside Park, NJ. Funeral from McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Monday, July 7, 2014, at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Church Of The Epiphany, 247 Knox Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, at 10 AM. Entombment to follow at Garden Of Memories, Township Of Washington, NJ. Visiting hours on Sunday, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Donations in memory of John "Jack" Thomas Theis to the Veteran's Memorial Home, 1 Veteran's Drive, Paramus, NJ 07652 would be appreciated.
