PRESTON, Richard, 70, of Cliffside Park passed away peacefully on September 13, 2014 surrounded by his family. Mr. Preston was employed by the B.C.U.A as senior sewer mechanic until his retirement in 2001. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 20 years Anne (nee Maisch). Also surviving are his step-children Jeannine Fucci of Barnegat, NJ and James Fucci and his wife Jill of Little Ferry, NJ. He was also a beloved "Pop" to 4 grandchildren Frank, Brian, Riley, and James Dylan. "Dick" as he was known served in the USAF from 1964-1968. Strength of character, honesty, and commitment will be etched in the lives of all who knew him. He loved socializing, his "tools", lottery tickets and "iced teas." A member of the American Legion, member of L.O.O Moose 848 Lodge in North Bergen, NJ. Viewing will be at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home in Cliffside Park on Tuesday, 9/16/14 from 4-8 PM. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace, 395 DeLano Place, Fairview, NJ, at 10 AM on Wednesday, 9/17/14. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made in his name to: The Holy Name Medical Center Foundation- HNMC, 718 TeaneckRoad Teaneck, NJ.
