MUGAVIN - Walter I, 93 of Cliffside Park, NJ, on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Veronica (nee McHugh) Mugavin (2008). Loving father of Veronica Ellerman, her husband Stephen of Rockaway Township, NJ, Walter J Mugavin, of Rockaway Township, NJ, and Mary Ann Grady of Manahawkin, NJ. Cherished grandfather of Beth DeNardo, her husband Dion, Brian, and Meghan Ellerman, and Shayna and Thomas Grady. Dear uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Walter was pre-deceased by his brothers Thomas, John, Frank, and Joseph Mugavin, and his sister Kathleen Myhre. Walter was a veteren of the New York National Guard.
Upon retirement, Walter was a crossing guard for the Cliffside Park Police Department for nineteen years. Funeral from McCorry Brothers, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Church Of The Epiphany, Cliffside Park, NJ, at 10 AM. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Visiting hours on Monday, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memorial and Honor Program, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 would be appreciated.
