Obituary of Joan Frances Scirocco
Joan Frances (Nicholas) Scirocco, 77, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2022. Originally from Cliffside Park, she attended Epiphany School in Cliffside Park and St. Joseph's High School in West New York. Later in life, she graduated from St. Peter's College. Throughout her career, she worked at Prentice-Hall, Melco, and Unilever. Joan was an avid Mets and Giants fan, history buff, lover of politics, movies, and an immense reader.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Scirocco, of Cliffside Park, her parents, James and Anna Nicholas, from Cliffside Park, and her two sisters, Carol Derringer of Ringwood and Cecilia Jacobson of Tenafly. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted son, Christopher Scirocco, daughter-in-law Kimberly, beloved grandsons Nicholas and Bradley of Fair Lawn. Lastly, her passing is very much felt by her seven nieces and nephews, her extended family, and her loving friends.

Visitation will be Monday, January 10, 2022, from 4-8 PM at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ. Mass will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Epiphany RC Church, 247 Knox Ave, Cliffside Park, NJ 07010.
Due to the current health concerns, masks will be required to enter our building and limitations on number of people in the chapel will be enforced
