Obituary of Fred Dominguez

     Fred Dominguez, 76, of Fairview, NJ, passed away on Sunday December 10, 2023.  Beloved husband of Barbara Dominguez (nee Cruz).  Loving father of Barbara Vergel, her husband Christian, and J.E. Sile Dominguez II.  Cherished grandfather of Christian Gabriel Flores II.

Fred worked as a Commercial Loan Officer for the SBA for many years and most recently worked for Rising Tide Capitol in Jersey City as a Credit to capital specialist who helped many with his invaluable knowledge. 

Fred held many titles in his life, but his favorite role was being a devoted husband, father and Abuelo Lolo. He loved nothing more than spending time with his adult children, JE and Barbie and his grandchild Gabriel.  He was always there for them. Whether it was watching a movie, cracking jokes or for one of his famous heartfelt dad talks. 

Despite spending much of his last few years fighting this disease, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his entire journey, he cracked jokes with his grown children, made silly faces with his grandchildren, and even pulled some light-hearted pranks on the nurses. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed.

He was a warrior and didn’t give up without a fight. He was loving, detailed focused in all he did even until his very last breath. His love for his family was unparalleled and always made sure to help others along his path. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.  He’s off to the stars, to guide and protect us from afar. 

     A visitation will held at McCorry Brothers, 780 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Thursday, Dec 14 from 4 to 8 PM.  Family and friends are to meet on Friday Dec 15, at Our Lady Of Grace R.C. Church 395 DeLano Place, Fairview, NJ, for celebration of Mass at 10 AM.
