Obituary of Patrick Caufield

Patrick Caufield, lifelong resident of Fairview NJ, peacefully passed away on Saturday July 27^th surrounded by family.  Pat attended St. John the Baptist grammar school and received his high school diploma from Cliffside Park.  He later graduated from Fordham University with a BS in Business. 

After taking management positions in retail and later the NJ DMV, Patrick found his calling after being elected to the Board of Education in Fairview and later becoming Secretary to the Board of Education.  He remained in the job for close to 30 years and shepherded many renovations as well as building the Lincoln School Annex.  Pat was a member of the local democratic party and Our Lady of Grace Church in Fairview.

Pat is survived by his sisters Frances Dresner and Maryann Delafuente and brother John.  He will be missed by his 10 nieces and nephews as well as their children.  Services will be held at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ on Wednesday July 31 from 4-8 PM.  Please gather on Thursday August 1^st, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 395 DeLano Place, Fairview, NJ for Funeral Mass.
