Obituary of Edward Howard Becker

BECKER - Edward Howard, 87 of Englewood Cliffs, NJ, formally of Little Ferry, Fort Lee, and Cliffside Park, NJ, died peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2015. Loving son of the late Carl and Louisa (nee Muller) Becker. Beloved husband of Kvetoslava "Kveta" E. (nee Erdelyiova) Becker, and the late Alice H. (nee Hartmann) Becker (Dec. 2000). Caring step-father of Tomas Berila, his wife Miloslava and George Berila, his wife Eva. Cheished step-grandfather of Thomas Benjamin and Simon. Dear brother of the late George and the late Carl Becker. Edward was a graduate of the American Academy McAllister Institute, NY in 1951. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Edward was a former Member of Hose Company #1, Little Ferry Fire Department, Past President of Bergen County Funeral Directors Association 1980-1981 and 2004-2005, Member of N.J.S.F.D.A., and Member of N.F.D.A. Edward was humble, kind, and a generous person and will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his beloved wife Kveta, who took great care of him until he was reunited with Our Lord. Edward dedicated his life to McCorry Brothers Funeral Home for three generations to ensure the success of the funeral home. He helped so many bereaved families and had a very special gift for connecting with people who experienced the loss of a loved one. He shared his heart with others, and that made his life, truly fulfilled. Edward, "Rest in Peace." We will never forget your kindness and generosity.
