I was hired no Bergen da 11/19/79. I worked with Sarah . In fact she told me hervreal name as I love languages. She was very kind to me a new hire as we did have a union but it was us the operators against them the managers. I remember when Linda died. It was so sad as Sarah was so distraught as a mother would be. Years later my daughter an only child whom Sarah and the rest on 88 th st had met was murdered March 1 2004 domestic violence. Thus I myself found myself in Sara's shoes. Small world. My husband Mike met Sarah. I met Mike at the telephone co in 1988 . Sarah was a kind loving gentle thoughtful soul not a mean bone in her body. I was great working with her . She made the world a better place . Interesting is our big boss in that office also passed this week Mary Norton Tedesco Fick . We always think retired telephone company folks live long as they earned every dime of their pension. 411 paid well good benefits but the public well not all callers were nice.
