Obituary of George Hartwig

George Hartwig - 85 - of Lake Ariel, PA, formerly of Cliffside Park and Emerson, NJ, on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.  George is survived by his loving wife Camille (nee Cappadona) and his adoring children Kristal Terranova (Michael) and George “Billy” Hartwig (Meg Yarnell). Also surviving are his four blessed grandchildren Jessica Balzano (Steve), Michael Terranova, Michelle Haviland (Brian), Owen Hartwig and one great grandchild Isabella Balzano. George was a proud Army veteran and a loving husband, father grandfather and great-grandfather. He worked as a driver for United Parcel Service for 29 years. George would volunteer as much of his spare time as he could for Bergen County Chore which was an organization of handymen who would help people in need. He also delivered Meals on Wheels for the elderly. A memorial visititation will be held on Sunday December 8, 2019 from 12 noon – 4 PM at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park.
