Aunt Barbara, Mia and I are saddened by the news of your passing, it came to soon and you leave behind many that love you and were touched by you during your time here with us. I know the last few years have been exceptionally difficult on you, but you had pushed though and kept on, an obvious fighter. I will always remember spending time with you at the parties in New Jersey and at the Fort Lee House. I am eased now knowing that you are comfortable and with the others in God's grace. Jerry, Jennifer, and Nicole I express my sincerest sympathy to you and your families. Mia and I pray for strength for you and your family.

Dear family, it's with great sorrow that I heard about Barbara's passing. Vinny called me on that day. That showed me that even if we reconnected the family branches only recently, across ocean and continents we deeply care about one another. I was so pleased to meet you all in March 2018, including Barbara, Jerry and their daughters. It was and will remain a very special day in my heart. Ambassador of my nuclear French/Italian family, I was delighted how welcoming you all were with me. On this occasion I remember also vividly how you all looked after Barbara who was tired by the lunch. Jennifer &her husband hosting was lovely. That's in their house where I had a long chat with Barbara and Jerry. Both such lovely people. I was moved by how considerate Jerry was with his wife, always checking if she was OK. Barbara: with all the love I saw surrounding you that day and after that, you must have been a loving and caring mother, wife, sister and friend. You will be missed. Virginia and Vinny consistently gave us news about you. It's a pity we couldn't reunite more, my mum would have loved to meet you, I know it. We will make sure we keep contact and meet up more with your sister and brother that we like very very much. And hopefully another big family gathering including Jerry and your children and grand children would happen sometime soon too. I hope you look at us with peace and love from where you are. We will all keep you in our heart. Elyne

Dear Jerry, Jennifer, Nicole and families: Our deepest condolences for the passing of your wife/mother. Jerry, we go way back to the Wilson Avenue days. I remember you and Barbara inviting me into your home many times for coffee. We watched as our children grew up together and shared memories as we served the town of Fairview in various positions. We know that losing a loved one is never easy. But we hope that our thoughts and prayers being sent your way will comfort you in your time of grieving. Dear Barbara, I thought I would meet you one day, but it was not possible, I regret it. I know how much Virginia and Vincent loved you and are unhappy today. Thanks to Virginia and Vinny for telling me about you, your courage in the face of illness and through the testimonies I saw what a generous person you were. We did not meet but you met Elyne, my daughter, who also told us about you and your family, making the link between us across the ocean... All our thoughts are with your family who is in pain and sorrow. Cousin Palmina Salagnon Pesenti and her husband Gérard and her children Elyne and Charlyves Chère Barbara, j'avais pensé te rencontrer un jour mais cela n'a pas été possible, je le regrette. Je sais combien Virginia et Vincent t'aimaient et sont malheureux aujourd'hui. Merci à Virginia à et Vinny de m'avoir parlé de toi, de ton courage face à la maladie et à travers les témoignages j'ai vu quelle personne généreuse tu étais. Nous ne nous sommes pas rencontrées mais tu as rencontré Elyne , ma fille, qui nous a également parlé de toi et de ta famille, faisant le lien entre nous par delà l'océan... My Dear Sister and Dear Nieces Jenn and Nicole, & Gerry; You left this life too soon, and we are heartbroken & in pain. It will be this way for a long time as we will miss you dearly. Barb-you worked hard your whole life, dedicated yourself to your family; upheld and Practiced your Catholic faith,-yes-you enjoyed some happy days, but too it was still too short. And in recent years you suffered and endured illness with much pain fighting like a soldier in battle. Alas God with Nonna Rosetta Heard/felt your pain and HE called you Home to rest peacefully in heaven. Wish Nonna happy 100th birthday as you enter Heaven joining family members in the wonderful Celebration.!!! We all love you and hold you forever in our hearts, till we meet again. As a high school friend of Jen’s, my memories of Barbara go back to sleep overs and get together’s. She always made me feel comfortable, and was always smiling and funny. A true mom and grandmom, she enjoyed her family to the fulllest and will be watching over them from peace in heaven.
